Lakshadweep: A Paradise For Honeymoon Travellers

Lakshadweep is a group of islands in Arabian sea, 200 to 300 km off the coast of Kerala. This is the smallest of union territories in India. Lakshadweep being a cluster of islands surrounded by water masses on all sides is a tourist's paradise with white sand beaches and nature at its best. The word lashadweep in malayalam, which is one of the local languages, means "one lac islands". Out of these multitude islands only 11 islands are inhabited with a population of 60,595. Though the isalands are abundant of natural resources and waters rich with coral reefs, the place is not explored to full potential by the the internatioanl travelers. The waters of lakshadweep contains vivid varieties of coral deposits. One of the islands also boast an aerodrome in the form of Agatti Aerodrome. Indian Airlines and Kingfisher airlines fly people to the island. Helicopters and boats are the means to travel to other islands. Here we have few clippings from this beautiful island state.
