One can also watch the sunrise and sunset from Murugan Kundram hill top 3 km away from Kanyakumari. It is really exciting to watch the waves when they beat itself against the rocks and then subside, before it attain itself fon a new attack.

Prime attractions of Kanyakumari are Vivekananda rock a stone which is rising out to the sea, where Swami Vivekananda spend a whole night in a deep meditation. For memorial to him, the rock now houses a statue of Vivekananda. Thiruvalluar statue with 133 feet height There is a sangam Spot, which is the meeting point of three oceans. This is a bathing ghats also. Kumari amman temple, Temple of Goddess Bhagavathy , Gandhi Mandap, temple at Suchindram are also famous tourist destinations near kanyakumari.
